Tadley Community Primary School

Safeguarding

Tadley Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This means that we have a Safeguarding policy and procedures in place which we refer to in our prospectus. All governors and staff (including supply staff and volunteers) must ensure that they are aware of these procedures.

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare.

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is:

  • Rebekah Alsey (Headteacher)

Our Designated Safeguarding Deputies (DDSLs) are:

  • Amelia Mohain (Deputy Headteacher & SENCO)
  • Charlotte Martyn (ELSA)
  • Lana Knapp (Pastoral)
  • Gail Thompson (Senior Admin Assistant)

Our Safeguarding Governors are:

  • Jan Draper
  • Jeff Maidment

If you are concerned about a young person’s welfare, please write clear notes and ensure that it is received – in a sealed envelope – by one of the DSLs above who will discuss the contents with you at the earliest opportunity that day. Do NOT conduct your own investigation.

If your concerns relate to the actions or behaviour of a member of staff (which could suggest that they are a danger to children) then you should report this to the Headteacher (or the Chair of Governors if the concern relates to the Headteacher) in confidence, who will consider what action to take.
