Autumn Term

In the Autumn Term, our focus is on helping children settle into their new environment and routines. Our key topics include "Settling In," "Who Am I?," "Nursery Rhymes," "Celebrations," "Superheroes," and the Nativity and Christmas. These themes support personal, social, and emotional development, as well as early literacy and communication skills.

Spring Term

During the Spring Term, we explore a wide range of exciting topics including Winter, Antarctica, Africa, Dinosaurs, Traditional Tales, and Spring. These themes offer opportunities for children to expand their understanding of the world, develop curiosity, and engage in imaginative play and storytelling.

Summer Term

Our Summer Term topics are all about nature, growth, and change. Children will learn about Life Cycles, Sowing and Growing, Minibeasts, Summer, Farms, and the Seaside. We also begin to support children with Transition activities to help them prepare for the next stage in their learning journey.

Reminders

P.E.          Every Tuesday and Friday. Occasionally there are changes to these timetabled days; we will let you know via the school office. 

Library         Send in library books every Monday, they will be changed that day during our library visit.

Home Learning Folder          Send in folders every Thursday and they will be sent home again on Fridays.

Outdoor Learning         Every Friday. Please leave wellies in school all term. We will send them home every holiday.

• Please make sure that all uniform is named clearly, including shoes.
• If your child wears earrings, these should be studs.  No hoops, please.
• Please send a full, named water bottle to school each day.
• Please provide a change of clothing (particularly underwear and socks) if you think your child may have toileting mishaps whilst at school.  These can be kept on your child’s peg or in their school bag.
